Founder of Green Garden Child Care Nature Nursery & Preschool, Samantha Green started her childcare career over 10 years ago. She studied home-based childcare and became a registered childminder in 2008, which grew to full capacity, so Samantha made plans to open a Nature Nursery which still incorporated daily outdoor adventures. Samantha opened her first Nature Nursery in May 2017, with the ethos of 'Nature Nurture' Samantha and her team provide rich ‘learn through play’ activities by taking children on regular outings to explore the wonderful woodland and riverside area surrounding the Nursery building. Samantha is proud that she keeps to being a small capacity nursery of only 20 places, as this allows for every child to know every carer throughout their nursery & preschool journey and also enables staff to keep safety at its pinnacle point by keeping to low child ratios for daily outings.
Our Wonderful Premises
Our Nature Nursery in Bitterne Manor, is like no other as it is set in a superb unique location, surrounded by British heritage based on Roman Monuments, with the River Itchen Beach and Clausentum Woodlands on its doorstep.
At Green Garden we believe that taking children on regular outings to provide outdoor play is really important, if not essential to a child’s growth and well being. Our Nursery is absolutely perfect for giving children that much needed change of scenery, as this engages them to learn and develop to their full potential.
Children get the best of both worlds at Green Garden as our indoor space incorporates lots of soft comfortable areas for our children to relax in when they need to regain their energy after either their lively adventure in the woods, riverside walk to feed the ducks, spot of crabbing or the music, arts and crafts activities they may have just taken part in.
Whichever exciting activity they choose, each child knows that when they come in they can kick off their shoes, put on their slippers and choose from many more activities, or simply relax with a book, puzzle, or gentle music, in one of our fabric dens, or dream nests.
